Dario Ré (b. June 26, 1988) lives and works between Sandpoint, Idaho and Spokane, Washington. His multifaceted practice includes painting, assemblage, installation, video, performance, sound and songwriting.
He is the lead singer-songwriter for the seven-piece indie band Heat Speak in which his impassioned poetics sung in English and French are supported by dynamic musicianship and intricate arrangements to create a unique blend of indie folk, chamber pop and world fusion. He is also a private music instructor, maintains an active solo career recording, producing and performing and is an active member of the band Bījāa.
He completed an MA in Art History at Concordia University in Montréal, Québec and a BA at Fairhaven College in Bellingham, Washington with a self-designed interdisciplinary concentration titled, Visual and Natural Culture: Art & Ethnobotany.

Creativity has inherent vulnerability. By giving my work autonomy, fluidity and the ability to explore, I free myself from preconceived methods and share the raw creative process with the listener/participant/viewer. The space is safe, which reassures everyone’s authenticity: a poignant happening.
